Scholars are rolling along with their group science projects! I am so impressed! They will be teaching the review sessions for our geology exam. They have learned sooooo much! Bravo to you scholars!
Math:
For this week, scholars should have submitted the following to Google Math Classroom;
1. Granola Bars Problem
2. Page 116-119 Positive and Negative Numbers
3. Page 120 Positive and Negative Numbers
Thursday and Friday for Math: Scholars need to complete the Fractions formative assessment. It is in their packet of work they have received already. (If lost, they can print from the "Jumbo math packet" located in the STEAM of the Google Math Classroom. They should turn this in on Sunday, if they are an ALL VIRTUAL scholar, and onMonday or Tuesday, if they are a hybrid scholar, on whichever day is the "in person" day for them.
Thursday and Friday for Science is to work on completing and being ready to present the group projects their section of the review, next week. We will work out the schedule for presenting in class on Thursday.
Grades are coming up. Scholars need to be looking at the Google Classrooms and seeing if they have missing assignments. My biggest caution here is, if it says turned in, it needs to have a work sample to provide evidence that it is done- so work should be scanned/photographed and uploaded into the classroom. Scholars should be bringing the paper versions to class or to the bin outside school. So, next week, starting Sunday for the All Virtual Scholars, and continuing on Monday and Tuesday, scholars should be bringing work from the past two weeks (and any thing else that was missing,) in their purple homework/communication folders. The work not yet assigned, I recommend it being kept in their white notebooks. They should avoid having large collections of work and unassigned papers in their red math folder and their green science folder. It is too easy for things to get lost and not turned in. LP 7 ends this Friday, March 5th. So, PE LOGS ARE DUE SUNDAY, MONDAY or TUESDAY. March 5th will be the closing date also for this upcoming report card, with the exception of the Science assessment and their project presentations. So, all work must be turned in on that Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
